Welcome to the utem-wan Wiki!

What is a wiki?
wiki

This Wiki is set up initially to enable UTeM students who take the subject Wide Area Network in Semester 2 2008/09 to collaborate on their assignments and projects as well as sharing their works. Hence, the members of this Wiki are the particular students as well as the lecturer who teaches the subject. However, this Wiki can be read publicly by all users of WWW.

Using this Wiki, students may create new pages to put contents of their assignments. Students may also upload their assignments (as .doc, .docx or .pdf) or related files through the "Manage Wiki" section. By having this Wikispace as a place to put your assignments, members can share their works with everybody else as long as there is Internet connection.

The collaboration nature of Wiki means a member can also edit pages made by other members. Please do not abuse this feature into making the work of the other members worse. A member can lock his posting to disable edits from other members.

As Wiki is used in Web environment, this also means that members can hyperlink any object in his posting to anything else inside this Wiki or anywhere in the WWW. So this also means that a member is not allowed to copy another person's webpage as a hyperlink to that page is a more appropriate way of referring to that source.

This Wiki also provides a discussion area for every page in this Wiki. Here, the content of the page can be discussed, and knowledge related to it can be shared. Please use this feature wisely as the postings are readable by all WWW users.

As the intention of setting up this Wiki is to have sharing culture among the seekers of knowledge, hopefully this Wikispace will grow to be a nice sharing place of knowledge especially those knowledge related to Wide Area Notwork, and hopefully its members will continue using it even after the end of this semester to share knowledge, especially in IT and networking.
